Hi. This is my first Apple Support post. It was recommended that I post to this forum. I've been using my good old MBox 2 with GarageBand on my old MacBook without incident. Someone stole my laptop so I had to buy a new MacBook Pro the other day. Free sound recorder serial key. On that system, GarageBand at first didn't recognize the MBox at all. This enabled GarageBand to recognize the MBox 2 as an interface, and it records without much incident when the audio input/output settings remain on the DigiDesign MBox. HOWEVER, when I change the audio setting to the build-in output, all **** breaks loose. The selected signal bar starts registering a regular, loud, red-lining metalic beeping sound, and at this point the issue remains whether or not I change the audio setting back. They've tried several audio drivers at the Apple Store and nothing is working. Avid requires you to buy support codes, which is ridiculous, so any help on this forum would be extremely appreciated. I'm running 10.5.8, and have the latest CoreAudio driver - I can record into Garageband through the MBox, but when played back the recording is distorted, with static/interference and the pitch has changed. The same thing happens with Soundtrack Pro, where I tried changing the sample rate before. A 10min introduction on the basic function, setup and use of the MBOX 2 USB audio interface. Sorry but when you said 'the mbox digitech focusrite' it was confusing because mbox is a product from avid, while digitech and focusrite are two other manufacturers of different interfaces. The mbox should work for you. Just download the correct drivers for your operating system from the avid website. If you were considering upgrading you Mac OS X to El Capitan 10.11 I would deeply reconsider that if you are using an Mbox 2 related devices. Over the last couple of days I've installed OS X El Capitan 10.11 GM Candidate and any updates that were available up to September 23, 2015 on a spare hard drive as I'm apart of the public beta program for El Capitan, and the results are not good if you.
